WICHITA, KS. Following a 2011 feasibility study and a 2013 study to confirm demand and verify plans for a new residence hall, both conducted by Scion, Wichita State University is preparing to open the doors of its newest residence facility, Shocker Hall. The $60-million, 784-bed facility will provide a more traditional college experience for first-year students and is expected to support continued enrollment growth. More

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN. An affiliate of The Scion Group has acquired “College Station at West Lafayette,” a 960-bed student housing community serving Purdue University. Scion purchased the property with private investment capital and plans nearly $1.8 million of upgrades and capital improvements. The seller was a subsidiary of publicly-traded EdR (NYSE: EDR).
