AUSTIN, TX. The Scion Group has been engaged by American Campus Communities (NYSE: ACC) to conduct a qualitative update to Scion’s January 2009 Student Housing Market and Demand Analysis for the University of Wyoming. ACC was selected by the University to develop campus housing for upper-division students and has asked Scion to verify the feasibility of the contemplated project.
Scion will conduct focus group sessions and stakeholder interviews and will analyze the off-campus rental market. Scion’s previous engagement for the University, which recommended the planned new development, was included in the Long Range Development Plan for the campus.
The University of Wyoming was founded in 1886 and has approximately 13,000 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled. Nearly 200 different areas of study are offered and students hail from all 50 states and more than 75 countries.
