TERRE HAUTE, IN. Following the completion of a market and demand analysis by The Scion Group, Indianapolis-based Annex Student Living has submitted plans to the City of Terre Haute and the Terre Haute Economic Development Commission for a student housing development located near Indiana State University. With anticipated completion in August 2017, the 408-bed, $25 million development was planned and designed based on the recommendations of Scion’s study completed earlier this year.
Scion’s study provided Annex with insights on the market and demand for the project, known as Annex 41, and included intercept interviews with ISU student and meetings with ISU and Terre Haute community stakeholders. Scion also analyzed local rental housing conditions with a focus on properties and areas that attract ISU student renters – including a “hyperlocal” assessment of the student rental submarket located north of the ISU campus.
Annex Student Living is an Indianapolis-based student housing developer that creates student living communities for regional campuses, community colleges and Division II and III universities. Its portfolio of apartment communities is valued at more than $100 million. Scion has performed student housing advisory services for Annex in nearly a dozen university campus markets.
