BENTON HARBOR, MI. Lake Michigan College (LMC) has engaged The Scion Group to review the potential impact on-campus student housing would have on its campus, which currently does not offer housing. The work will mark Scion’s sixth engagement in the State of Michigan and its fifth for community colleges nationwide.
Scion’s efforts will include a review of LMC’s mission and analysis of how student housing may align with it. Scion will also review LMC’s administrative departments and study the changes, challenges and benefits that student housing would present to the College’s operations. Finally, Scion will survey the off-campus rental market and study student housing operations at LMC’s competing institutions.
Lake Michigan College is a two-year community college with four campuses, serving over 7,000 credit and non-credit students annually. Its main campus is located in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
