PHOENIX, AZ. Following a national RFP process, Downtown Phoenix Student Housing, LLC has announced its selection of The Scion Group to serve as financial consultant for the 1,284-bed Taylor Place student housing facility, adjacent to the downtown Phoenix campus of Arizona State University. Scion will develop long-term solutions toward increasing net operating income at the property.
Scion’s work will include an examination of rental rates, current marketing strategies, operating policies and pertinent resident feedback. Additionally, Scion will tour the property and study existing documentation regarding expenses, market conditions and operating agreements. Ultimately, Scion will provide recommendations to improve cash flow for the property and maintain an acceptable fixed-charges coverage ratio.
Downtown Phoenix Student Housing, LLC is a 501(c)3 non-profit that was formed to own and maintain student housing for the downtown Phoenix campus of Arizona State University. Taylor Place, a University-affiliated student housing community, was developed through the joint efforts of DPSH, Arizona State University, the City of Phoenix and Capstone Development Corporation.
