SCION TO EVALUATE HOUSING AT THREE WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES

PULLMAN, WA. Washington State University has selected The Scion Group to assess demand, campus impact and financing options for the potential addition of student housing at its three branch campuses in Spokane, Tri-Cities and Vancouver. Scion was selected in a national competitive process and will advise the University on benchmark "tipping points" to help determine whether to proceed with housing at each campus.

"Scion was identified by our selection committee as the most qualified firm for this project," said Cynthia Arbour, Campus Planner for Washington State University. "Scion's understanding of the project needs, its leadership skills and the demonstrated experience of its team were clear to the committee." This project marks Scion's first engagement in the State of Washington.

Founded in 1890 in Pullman, home to its main campus, Washington State University operates a statewide system that includes three smaller branch campuses that together enroll approximately 20% of its 26,000 students, plus extension offices in every county of the state. The University offers over 100 undergraduate, 67 master’s and 47 doctoral degree programs and is consistently ranked among the top 60 public universities in the nation in US News and World Report.
