ORLANDO, FL. The Scion Group has been engaged by the University of Central Florida for financial consulting services related to the 600-bed NorthView community, the University’s newest student residence, opening in September 2013. Scion has advised UCF and its foundation on numerous matters related to on-campus and affiliated student housing over the past seven years, including the initial planning for the NorthView community.
In this engagement, Scion will support the University of Central Florida’s management of the NorthView project by certifying that financial and market conditions continue to support the project.
The University of Central Florida, founded in 1963, enrolls approximately 60,000 students in 12 colleges offering 212 degree programs, including on its 1,415-acre main campus east of Orlando and its nine regional campuses located throughout Central Florida. One of the most dynamic universities in the United States, UCF has become an academic and research leader in numerous fields. Its on-campus student housing system comprises over 7,000 beds, along with nearly 4,000 beds of affiliated off-campus housing.
