SAN MARCOS, TX. As a result of current and projected growth, Texas State University has engaged a master planning team led by SmithGroupJJR, and supported by Facility Programming and Consulting, to explore future space needs. Facility Programming and Consulting then selected The Scion Group to prepare a market and demand analysis for new campus residence halls and dining options on the San Marcos campus.
Scion’s work will include preparing an analysis of the current on-campus housing and dining options, conducting student focus groups and developing recommendations for residential capacity and the desirable size for new residence halls and dining venues. Scion will also meet with University stakeholders and review the off-campus rental market.
