MADISON, WI. Following the engagement of The Scion Group to prepare a Student Housing Master Plan for its Oshkosh campus earlier this year, the University of Wisconsin System announced today that it has selected Scion through a competitive RFP process to complete a comprehensive plan for student housing at its Superior campus. The objective of the project – Scion’s third in the Superior/Duluth area – is to develop a long range Housing Master Plan consistent with the mission of the University’s Office of Residence Life to provide an enjoyable, safe, and reasonably priced living/learning environment for students.
Scion’s work will include a detailed market analysis, operational review and facility analysis, with particular focus on options for diversifying the University’s housing inventory. “We take great pride in providing excellent service and meaningful work product to our clients, which is best evidenced by repeat business,” said Jason A. Taylor, Scion’s Director of Consulting Services. “We’re pleased to earn this engagement at UW-Superior and proud that it reflects favorably on our ongoing work at UW-Oshkosh and other past experience in the Superior/Duluth area.”
Founded in 1893, The University of Wisconsin-Superior is a four-year university offering 24 majors and eight graduate degrees within 15 academic departments and an Extended Degree Program. With a total enrollment of 2,800 students, it is the smallest of the 13 comprehensive universities in the University of Wisconsin system.
