The Scion Group’s continuing growth has resulted in 132 promotions of existing team members just since Fall 2022, including the following advancements among the leadership team:
Fatima Baqir, now Senior Director, Advisory Services, directs, manages and contributes to execution of client deliverables including data collection, report writing and development, as well as client communication.
Chelsea Bennett, now Vice President, Advisory Services, develops and leads the client services team to provide world-class execution in consulting for P3 development and student housing planning and finance, while assisting with strategic development for continued business growth.
John Carr, now Senior Vice President, Asset Management, is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the performance of Scion’s entire managed portfolio to ensure strong returns for investors. He monitors and evaluates key performance indicators such as occupancy and rental rates and operating expenses, to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions.
Maegan Cisbani, now Vice President, Tax and Projects, supervises income tax, REIT compliance and real estate tax functions. She works closely with third-party providers to ensure timely completion of corporate and investment partnership tax returns, REIT-related compliance analysis and testing, and review of real estate tax appeals.
Nicholas Eberhardt, now Director, Investments, is responsible for all analytics produced by the working investments team and manages communication with external constituents for pending transactions, while assisting in ongoing maximization of investment performance through oversight of revenue management and capital markets functions.
Thomas Gwynne, now Regional Vice President, oversees all operations of 23 communities in the company’s western region, working closely with his peer group, corporate functional leads and other managers to develop and implement strategies to optimize performance and achieve Scion’s evolving business objectives.
